Happy Fantastic Friday!
4 IDEAS FROM ME
I.
Heighten your ambitions. Lower your expectations.
Higher ambition = more courageous actions
Lower expectations = more frequent satisfaction
Changing the world becomes easier if you're happy along the way.

Success breakdown:
1) Life is a series of games. Choose which ones you want to play.
2) Each game has set rules. Develop a deep understanding of them.
3) Master a niche within the rules. Play to your strengths.
4) Break the rules. Create your own game.

III.
Attracting good luck is a result of being reliable.
Consistently delivering value = more people seeking you out for that value
Once you become known for something great, opportunities gravitate towards you.

4 QUOTES FROM OTHERS
I.
Guru Sachinandana Swami on managing expectations:
“Free your heart from hatred. Free your mind from worries. Live simply. Give more. Expect less.”
II.
Former NASA astronaut Mae Jemison on playing to our strengths:
“The biggest challenge we all face is to learn about ourselves and to understand our strengths and weaknesses. We need to utilise our strengths, but not so much that we don't work on our weaknesses.”
III.
Author Orison Swett Marden on luck:
“The golden opportunity you are seeking is in yourself. It is not in your environment; it is not in luck or chance, or the help of others; it is in yourself alone.”
IV.
Philosopher Marcus Aurelius on life:
“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.”
4 REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS FOR YOU
What is the work that keeps working for you after you’ve completed it?
If you could only work for 3 hours per day, what would you work on during that time to be most effective?
Which aspects of life am I positively controlling right now?
Is there anything that makes me feel optimistic about the future?
4-STEP ACTION PLAN
Sometimes we look at people and think, “how do they seem to have luck on their side?” Regardless of the circumstances, they always land on their feet. Whilst luck can play a huge part in some people’s success, there are proven ways of creating these invaluable moments. People who grow furthest have learned to put themselves in the right situations and take advantage of the right opportunities. If you’re looking to join them, read on.
Enjoy.
I. Be social
If you want to create your own luck you first have to accept that it can’t be done alone. Broadening your social circle and making a conscious effort to build your professional network is two effective ways of achieving this. Start small and aim to make one or two new connections a week. Once you grow in confidence you can increase the numbers. Remember, people bring connections and connections bring opportunity.
II. Become a visionary
Intentionality precedes luck. You create the luck of your dreams by refusing to leave it up to chance. The best athletes envision winning a game before it starts, the same way you’d envision getting the job before you go in for the interview. If you have your goal in mind and visualise your path to success, you’ll be able to streamline your focus on the essentials to get there.
III. Keep on shooting
If we’re all in agreement that luck is seldom accidental, the best way to make it your reality would be to put in the work right? Creating anything meaningful comes as a result of taking lots of shots. Some will hit and some will miss, your job is to keep the ones that hit and improve them. This process requires patience, which if you struggle with go back and read an older post here.
IV. Relish being still
There are some things in life that you have no control over. Despite me talking about intentionality, taking lots of shots, and getting around the right people, there are times where you just have to let nature take its course. Being still allows you to see the little things that pass by as you strive for more. It’s in these little things where opportunity exists. So relish being still.
I would love to sit here and be like all of those people you hear on podcasts telling you how success is this linear roadmap (they’re all full of 💩 btw) and I had figured it all out. Truth is, all of my success is down to God. Some would call it luck, I call it grace. I’m really just winging this thing called life and getting blessed along the way 🤷🏾♂️. Although I am hyper-intentional about how I’m winging it, but winging it nevertheless 😂.
As always, love for kicking it with me today, appreciate you all.
